Welcome to the Thought Tapestries collection on the Book of Romans.
In these stories I have woven Paul’s masterful letter into narrative form, drawing out its rich threads of God’s righteousness, justification by faith, grace triumphing over sin, the transforming power of the Spirit, the unity of Jew and Gentile, and the call to live as living sacrifices.
The collection follows the natural structure of the epistle:
– Chapters 1–4: The revelation of God’s righteousness and justification by faith
– Chapters 5–8: New life in Christ and freedom from condemnation
– Chapters 9–11: The mystery of Israel in God’s redemptive plan
– Chapters 12–16: The gospel worked out in transformed relationships and daily living
Each story stands alone yet builds on the ones before it. You can read them in order to trace the full argument, or begin wherever the Spirit draws you.
May these retellings make the heart of the gospel come alive and fill you with fresh wonder at God’s mercy.
